So, I learned today that the Navy has decided I am worthy of promotion to the Rank of Commander (O-5, same rank as a LT Colonel in the army).

Wow...

I guess that probably makes me the senior Brony in the military (If I wasn't already...)

Anyway, sorry for the lack of updates.  Lets say the military demands a great sacrifice in time for the officers they send to leadership positions.  I've had a bunch of ideas, but just haven't had the time to put into them.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Equestria Girls.  I have the perfect cover, my 6 year old daughter who has shown a real interest in the movie.  DHX has done such a wonderful job making MLP appeal to a wide range of ages that I think the movie will be just fine.

Yeah, I need to get working on that... at least a starting sketch.

Do you have a good source image for Conquistador armor you want me to use? Wikipedia didn't have anything particularly useful.

Also, do want an OC or canon pony put in it?

As to the pony wearing it, If you think a cannon character would suit the armour, use that character, if you think there isn't one who does suit, use one of mine, or your OCs or create an OC to suit it.

Ooh. This will be a challenge. Full plate mail on a ponies anatomy. And plate mail with unique characteristics too.

I'll work the armor on a Shining Armor outline to figure out the layout. From there I can probably adapt it to other characters.

I hope you had a good Veteran's Day. Did you get free food?

I volunteered to be apart of a 28-soldier flag detail.

The flag was so large, it smacked everyone of us when the flag carrier had to push through the formation.

Veterans day isn't celebrated the same here in Australia. No day off. Just a couple of solemn ceremonies at memorials for fallen soldiers. Not even a day off.

The big military remembrance celebration here is ANZAC day. Everyone in the military, or the reserve, or a veteran, Marches in the local parade. Even foreign military (I was adopted by the Royal Marine Commando veterans group in Sydney for the last ANZAC day)
